Lab #5- Speaker Action tested how a speaker works in a circuit. As electricity is introduced to the circuit, the electro-magnet in the speaker becomes magnetized the is repelled by the stationary magnet. This produces a small clicking noise as it hits the cones of the speaker and creates small airwaves. A click is also produced as electricity is removed from the circuit and the electro-magnet returns to its position. In the case of speakers for music, an alternating current is used to constantly change the pitch to capture every little detail in the music.
