Lab #9- PNP Transistor Checker showed how a PNP works to amplify a signal and how a PNP transistor differs from an NPN transistor. This lab was built in parallel with lab #8 due to their similarities and more notably the differences that should be noticed. The biggest difference between this lab is that the polarity of the circuit must be reversed in order for it work. This is because a PNP transistor has a bias opposite to that of an NPN transistor. Another notable difference between these labs is that the collector and the emitter of the PNP transistor are on the opposite side of an NPN transistor. The results of this lab should be that the LED connected to the base lead will glow brighter than the LED that is connected to the emitter.
